Specific exclusion: Preexisting illness/diseases/injuries are not covered under any circumstances.

Old OMP Policy is to be issued.
Medical illness SI limits for USD $ 15K with per illness limited to USD $ 10K
Per Accident/injury limit restricted to USD $ 10K
Exclusion of all pre-existing illness/diseases/injury and its related complications.
Exclusion of life threatening conditions & Acute Pain clauses from the coverage's of the policy.
Acceptance Authority
Regional Underwriting Managers are authorized to accept any proposal above the age limit 70 years up to age limit of 80 years subject to the following:
Duration of travel not to exceed 120 days
Should be accompanied by family including wife who is below 70
Maximum Sum Insured not to exceed USD 15,000
Refer to the coverage's table below that can be offered for the said age group.
No Extension of policy period.

Exclusion of all pre-existing illness/diseases/injury and its related complications. Please also specifically exclude any preexisting disease/injury/illness mentioned in the proposal form/observed from the medical reports.
Exclusion of life threatening conditions & Acute Pain clauses from the coverage's of the policy.
Maximum Number of Days Cover
The maximum number of travel days under a single trip that may be insured, under the policy, shall be 180 days (inclusive of any extension).
Extensions requests should be sent to Zonal Underwriting Dept at least 15 days in advance along with all the details like - Request letter/email of the insured detailing reason for extension, declaration of good health, claim filed/claims that are to be filed details and policy copy. However, extensions are to be discouraged and to be accepted on case to case basis only on merits subject to maximum no of days limit as mentioned above.
However it may be noted that extension of any policy is at the sole discretion of the company and the company is not liable to offer any reason if the policy is not extended. A policy may not be extended if a claim is already filed by the insured/insured person.
Acceptance Authority
Regional Underwriting Managers are authorized to accept OMP proposals above the age limit 70 years upto age limit of 75 years subject to the following:
Satisfactory medical reports along with Medical questionnaire U/w / UW Guidelines- Misc (Travel 71-80 with Medical)/ Ver1.0 / 15th June 2007 completed by the doctor
Duration of travel not to exceed 120 days
Maximum Sum Insured not to exceed USD 50,000 and sublimits as detailed below only.
For persons beyond the age of 75, proposals are to be referred to Zonal Underwriting Manager after Medical Examination. The medical examination would normally be Blood and Urine test to check for diabetes and ECG to check the condition of the heart along with medical questionnaire duly completed by the doctor. However, proposals exceeding 75 years of are to be discouraged and to be accepted on case to case basis only on merits.
