The Policy covers loss or damage to the vehicle insured arising out of:

  • Loss or damage to the Vehicle Insured against Fire, explosion, self-ignition, lightning, burglary, theft, riot, strike, malicious act, terrorism, earthquake, flood, typhoon, accidental external means, landslide or rockslide, road/rail/inland waterway/air transit.
  • Legal Liability to third parties personal injury and property damage.
  • Compulsory Personal Accident cover for the owner driver.

Optional extensions on payment of extra premium

  • Legal liability to paid driver, cleaner or any workman.
  • Personal Accident to the occupants.
  • Increased legal liability to property damage of third party for a limit of Rs 7.5 lakhs(in case of private car & 1 lakh (in case of two wheeler).
  • Personal Accident to the pillion riders. (in case of two wheeler).
  • Loss of accessories.

Exclusions

  • Depreciation, wear and tear.
  • Mechanical and electrical breakdown, failure or breakage.
  • When vehicle is used outside the geographical area.
  • When used contrary to limitation as to use.
  • Driven by a person other than the driver stated in driver’s clause.
  • War perils, nuclear perils and drunken driving.
